If steps are not made to remove any mold, you are allowed to withold rental payments until the work has been made.

Of course there are items such as dehumidifiers that would reduce the change of getting mold in your property. A dehumidifier is able to reduce the levels of humidity in your home back to the normal level, around 40%-60%. Purchasing a simple appliance like this will help to reduce humidity and therefore the chance of getting mold in your home.

A simple weather station can’t tell you how high the humidity is within your home, you’ll need a thermohygrometer to accurately measure the levels of humidity.
